Start a Successful Healthy Morning Routine
How you start your day can determine how the rest of the day plays out. If you start by waking up late, you can fall behind on tasks and stumble through the day playing catch up. If you wake up early and begin with a good morning routine, it can help the rest of the day run smoothly.
Say no to technology
If it’s vital that you check your email or social media sites, maybe for work or you’re awaiting urgent communication, set a 5 or 10 minute time limit. Be very strict about this and once your 5 or 10 minutes is up start your calming morning routine.
Create a new routine
You may already have rituals that you complete every morning such as:
1. hit the snooze button
2. shower
3. check your phone
4. have a coffee to start the day etc

Beginning your day with the same routine signals to your brain that this is the start of the day and get it ready for a productive day. If the first thing you do each morning is hit your alarm and then immediately do some stretches, your brain will eventually learn what comes after the stretches and you’ll being to automatically complete these tasks.

Once, you’ve completed your morning routine, check your planner to go over what ever personal and/or business commitments you have prioritised for the day. I complete my to do list the night before so I’m aware of what my tasks are for the next day.
