Start a Successful Healthy Morning Routine
How you start your day can determine how the rest of the day plays out. If you start by waking up late, you can fall behind on tasks and stumble through the day playing catch up. If you wake up early and begin with a good morning routine, it can help the rest of the day run smoothly.
Say no to technology
If it’s vital that you check your email or social media sites, maybe for work or you’re awaiting urgent communication, set a 5 or 10 minute time limit. Be very strict about this and once your 5 or 10 minutes is up start your calming morning routine.
Create a new routine
You may already have rituals that you complete every morning such as:
1. hit the snooze button
3. check your phone
4. have a coffee to start the day etc
After a, hopefully, restful night, your mind is recharged and clear ready for new information. Beginning your day with the same routine signals to your brain that this is the start of the day and get it ready for a productive day. If your morning daily approach is a haphazard attitude your brain isn’t receiving a signal that you are ready to start the day. This can lead to some mornings being more productive than others and unreliability in efficiency when tackling tasks.
If the first thing you do each morning is hit your alarm and then immediately do some stretches, your brain will eventually learn what comes after the stretches and you’ll being to automatically complete these tasks.
Begin your morning with peace and calm with the following morning routine ideas.
